Chirac in a tutu.... now that is a disturbing image... *shiver*

Says it all!

Sadly, it's just too easy for me to picture Chirac actually wearing a tutu.

Is that really sad, though?

He should have said

"Querteirbaque"

So when did European men start being born without ball$? Was it Chernobyl?

Posted by: Chuck at March 5, 2003 05:56 PM

Er, Chuck, please don't try saying that to a Spaniard. (As for us Brits, we're only semi-European).
The French? about 1940.

Posted by: John SF at March 6, 2003 06:28 AM

Yes, yes, I apologize for categorizing you as European. I guess I shoulda specified France, Germany, and Russia.

Posted by: Chuck at March 6, 2003 03:13 PM

Going to war without the French would be like going deerhunting without an accordian player. Get back Chirac.

Nah, it's just the Axis of Weasels that are pussies. Most of Europe still has plenty of butt-kicking goodness. Especially new Europe! I wouldn't pick a fight with a Bulgarian unless my death wish was acting up :D

A Raptor on top of Chirac Chewing on his cowardly throat would be funny. Remember France's only good action star is a Spanaird born in Morrocco

these comix are great and this is not a criticism, but the next time theres a strip showing the team in the huddle, i know the aussies would enjoy seeing their guy in there too. but it aint no thing but a chicken wing. did anyone notice that the butler on joe millionaire and aussie PM john howard were seperated at birth??

Posted by: the white bear at March 8, 2003 11:36 PM

white bear ... I know a few Aussies who are standing with America in the war on terrorism. I'm glad the Aussie government is resisting the "peace" movement, particularly after the Bali atrocity. I'm proud that we're on the same team. And hopefully, as you suggested, we can get that into a cartoon one day. However, regarding this cartoon, Australia is not part of NATO, and this was a NATO joke.

Chirac being seredaded by Saddam Hussein.

Well, at first I must say that personally I oppose this war strongly and see it as nothing more than a conflict aimed at securing U.S. economic interests, namely oil. Human rights, "liberty for iraqi people" etc. are mere rhetoric, nothing more.
In addition, I see the U.S. decicion to ignore the U.N. and go to war anyway as pure arrogance which is completely improper for a superpower as powerful as the U.S..
Moreover, what is this talk about European cowardice? Europe has seen two major wars in the last century, this includes Finland which fought two wars against the Soviet Union, the Winter-war in 39-40 and the Continuation-war in 41-44 and managed to hold its own, these wars and numerous wars before them have taught European nations to seek diplomatic resolution much more vigorously.
As what comes to the french, I think they did defend themselves quite bravely in 1940, the German superiority was simply too overwhelming.
