I love the hypocrisy inherent in their statements, especially given what they said in '98, when Clinton launched 30+ Tomahawks into Baghdad in an attempt to Wag The Dog.

You have (again) outdone yourself!! Bravo Zulu!!

My compliments on another great piece! I don't know how you guys keep outdoing yourselves!

Keep up the good work

As my old boss used to say, " A star is a star no matter how much dirt you throw on it."

Is there anything Daschle knows how to do but divide the country with his partisan bickering?

At least he supported the resolution commending the President yesterday, but you can just picture him with his panties all bunched up today.

By the way, has Senator Clinton gone AWOL?

I never liked the way you draw Bush, but your Daschele is top notch. As always though, the message of the cartoon is right on.

I love the way you put all Kennedy's weight in his face, and the crazed look of Daschle. Keep up the good work!

Beautiful.

Except for Bush, of course. Look, I really like your work, but does Bush really have to look like a terminally worried elf?

Eh. I should talk, I, who couldn't caricature for nuts.

Carry on.

How DO you do it?

Every time I think you can't possibly do any better, you prove me wrong!

We've got you prominently listed as a link in our blogroll; keep up the great work!

MB is lumbered with Teddy Waddles as one senator, along with Sen. Spaceshot...almost too great a burden to bear. :-)

I used to just ignore the Democrats.
Now I just loathe them.
Your cartoon goes a far in illustrating something I have hard time putting into words.
Keep drawing.

Should read: "a far way"...
Preview doesn't work if you don't use!
DUH!

eichra oren etal....

Finally! Someone decided to bust me on my drawing, specifically the job I do on our president. I'll say only this:

President Bush is loaded with facial traits that beg for satire....short, flared nose, weakish chin and those eyebrows!(Don't get me started on his ears) Caricature is defined by exaggeration and implied opinion...it's how I see him: slightly buffoonish with an air of antsy paranoia...granted, he demonstrates a bravura occasionally (COWBOY MOTIF) but it's that shakiness that often is revealed in my work...I still get a kick out of flexing the possibilites of recognition.

My fave Bush quote, which illustrates his cool cowboy persona, is from the time he was Gov. of TX and I was a Probation Officer, and he came down to visit our unit. He was just told that we had powers of arrest, but were not allowed to carry firearms.

"It's no fun when they got guns and you don't." he said with a wink.

I've liked him ever since.

Yeah, I don't think you really get the essential hotness of Bush either. So there.

Posted by: pbird at March 22, 2003 03:34 PM

Hey, don't get me wrong! I really like your work as a whole. No, I mean I REALLY like your work as a whole.

Keep it up.

Niven's Law: Never throw shit at an armed man.
Corollary: Never stand next to someone who is throwing shit at an armed man.

Good cartoon:-).
